1F: Cultural Competency for Quality and Success. In California, cultural dynamics are a central feature of life. Yet the ways and means for nonprofits to be ahead of the game on culture are not self-evident. Participants will review core concepts, insights from research and practical applications to everyday work. The session will draw on the Alliance for Nonprofit Management's Cultural Competency Initiative, a national endeavor focusing on power and privilege.
