Jerr Boschee, 63, has been an advisor to social entrepreneurs in the United States and elsewhere for nearly 30 years.
To date he has been a keynoter or conducted master classes in 42 states and 15 countries, and has long been recognized as one of the founders of the social enterprise movement worldwide.
He has also been a senior marketing executive for a Fortune 100 company, managing editor for a chain of regional newspapers, a Peace Corps Volunteer in India, and a guest lecturer at numerous academic institutions, including Cambridge, Carnegie Mellon, Duke, Northwestern, Oxford, Stanford and others.
Jerr is the former President and CEO of The National Center for Social Entrepreneurs, is one of the six co-founders of the Social Enterprise Alliance, and was named by The NonProfit Times to its nonprofit sector “Power & Influence Top 50” lists in 2004, 2005 and 2006. He served from 2001 to 2004 as an advisor to England’s Department of Trade and Industry Social Enterprise Unit and is the author or editor of five books, including Boschee on Marketing, The Social Enterprise Sourcebook, and the award-winning Migrating from Innovation to Entrepreneurship: How Nonprofits are Moving toward Sustainability and Self-Sufficiency.
Jerr is currently Executive Director of The Institute for Social Entrepreneurs (www.socialent.org), which he created in 1999, and is Visiting Professor of the Practice of Social Enterprise at the H. John Heinz III School of Public Policy and Management at Carnegie Mellon University. He is also Board Chair for Encore! Service Corps International, a nonprofit he co-founded in 2003 to send former Peace Corps Volunteers and others back into service on short-term assignments (one to six months) that match their professional expertise with specific social needs, and is Board Chair for SAGE (“Students for the Advancement of Global Entrepreneurship”), which supports high school entrepreneurs in more than 20 countries.

Janet S. Cohen has been a consultant and trainer working with nonprofit organizations for more than 18 years. Her focus is customized work sessions and consulting services for nonprofit organizations on diversification of revenue, earned income, marketing planning, and strategic planning processes. She was an affiliate consultant with CompassPoint Nonprofit Services in the Bay Area for 6 years, a senior consultant with the National Center for Social Entrepreneurs for 5 years, and Chief Executive Officer of Project HIRED for 10 years. She has degrees from the University of Massachusetts, the University of Maryland, and a Certificate in Marketing: New Products and Services from the University of California at Santa Cruz.

Nima Krodel joined Nonprofit Finance Fund (NFF) in April 2007. She is responsible for the underwriting, closing and monitoring of loans to clients in the San Francisco Bay Area. Prior to joining NFF, Ms. Krodel worked for Goldman Sachs in the Municipal Finance and Infrastructure Group, where she covered non-profit healthcare clients. Before business school, she worked in the Finance division of Lehman Brothers in New York City. Ms. Krodel received an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and a BA in Economics from Northwestern University.
Dave McDonough is the President of the Social Enterprise Institute which provides nonprofit leaders a unique opportunity to develop the skills and networks needed to develop successful social enterprises. In March 2006 the Social Enterprise Alliance, the leading national social enterprise organization, presented Dave their annual award for Advancing the Field. He was previously President and CEO of Chrysalis, a nonprofit agency providing employment opportunities to disadvantaged communities. In 2002 the Institute for Social Entrepreneurs profiled his efforts launching a nonprofit enterprise in the book “The Social Enterprise Sourcebook”. As a result of his entrepreneurial approach to social issues Dave was one of seven representatives from across the country selected to speak at a White House conference exploring "Innovative Solutions to Hunger and Poverty”.
