About the Emerging Nonprofit Professionals Group
CAN has recently formed the Emerging Nonprofit Professionals group to provide networking and professional development opportunities for people who have been working in the nonprofit sector for less than five years. The group provides a place for future nonprofit leaders to connect with one another and access resources, mentorship and training.
The quarterly gatherings will offer a balance of networking and training opportunities. Guest speakers will address the daily challenges of organizational management among other topics and offer informal mentoring to participants. The forums will be a great opportunity to hear about others’ challenges and successes.
In addition to regular meetings, an e-mail list has been developed to offer an opportunity for members to exchange information and referrals, learn about upcoming events and workshops, post job announcements and compile research on issues around generational change and other matters facing the sector.
