CAN's California Bill Tracker
Over 5,000 bills, resolutions and constitutional amendments have been introduced so far in the current two-year, 2009 -10 session of the California State Legislature. Over 800 make direct reference to nonprofits in some way, and hundreds more will have a direct impact on different parts of our sector. From that vast array of legislation, here are some that have the potential to change the landscape, in large and small ways, for many, many nonprofits. Others will be added in coming weeks as bills are reviewed by CAN's staff and board and have their first hearings and votes.
