NEW NONPROFIT BOARD MEMBERS ELECTED STATEWIDE
(August 2009 -- Santa Cruz, CA) California Association of Nonprofits (CAN) is a statewide membership network creating sector-wide responses to issues vital to nonprofit organizations. Current activities include developing strategies to promote nonprofits during the current California budget crisis as well as seating a new board to support this endeavor. Seven new board members have been selected by vote of the membership. New members include:
Linda Davis, The Center for Volunteer and Nonprofit Leadership of Marin; Karen Freeman, Alzheimer’s Family Services Center; Dena Jenson, Ventura County Community Foundation; Peter Manzo, United Ways of California; Adriana Rocha, CompassPoint Nonprofit Services; Thomas Schulte, rbz, LLP; Eric Stoddard, Mustard Seed Tutorial Center; Brian Bolton, Volunteer Centers of California; Megan Lim, San Diego Public Library Foundation; Ashley C. McCumber, Meals on Wheels San Francisco.

The CAN Board of Directors is comprised of a diverse cross-section of nonprofit and business leaders from all across California. Some directors are elected by CAN members, while others are appointed by the board itself.
